Summer Swimsuit Fashion Drawing with Copic Markers

summertimedrawing1

Hey everyone!

Today’s speed drawing is a cute blonde girl in a swimsuit. My favorite part about summer so far has been shopping for a swimsuit. There are SO many fun trends going on right now. I can’t remember a time when there were so many trendy options for swimsuits. It was very difficult to decide what swimsuit I should draw on the character. I hope you like the one I decided to go with. šŸ˜‰

Shout out to those of you who’ve been sharing your drawings with me! I get really inspired when I see what you’ve done. If you want to share your drawings and paintings with me, you can tweet me a picture @artistrage.

And despite what you might have been thinking… I’m still around and about! I know, I know. it’s been over a month since my last art video, but thank you for your patience and checking back with me. Work life balance is a crazy thing. Anyone here know how I’m feeling? Because I think nothing but, “I want to make art,” then I get home.. and.. all those other responsibilities somehow make it first. Hm, this is beginning to sound like a good vlog topic, don’t you think?

If you’re ever wondering what’s going on with me, you can always find out on my Twitter @artistrage and on the Artist Rage Facebook page. Go ahead and give those pages a follow!

Go ahead, watch this weeks video, let me know what you want to see me draw or paint next time!

3 Ways to Make Your own Hair Accessories DIY Craft

Last week I asked you on Facebook and on Twitter what you wanted me to do for this week’s Artist Rage video. I gave the options of drawing, painting, or creating something and I got a surprising number of you telling me to CREATE something. So, here it is! I decided to make simple and pretty hair clips and accessories that you can easily recreate yourself. Watch the video, get inspired, and go make them for yourself! Make sure to share what you create using #ARartshow or tweet to @artistrage. I can’t wait to see what you do.

I haven’t been uploading weekly videos on YouTube lately. If you’re missing me and my updates, make sure to follow me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ArtistRageĀ Ā and on Twitter:Ā https://twitter.com/artistrage. I update toĀ those placesĀ throughout the week with what’s going on in my busy world or I share cool finds from other artists around the world to help us both stay inspired. ;). How to Draw Eyes 3 Different Ways

3difeyes

Hey there! Long time no see šŸ™‚

While I’m working on all of my own artwork and filming that for later release, I made a new quick tutorial on how to draw eyes 3 different ways. Unlike my previous how-tos, this doesn’t have a voice-over or written tips. There’s still a lot to learn from watching and practicing, so give it a try! Watch what I do then try it yourself. Show me the eyes you draw by sharing your completed pieceĀ on twitter using #ARartshow.

I’ll be back next weekend with a new video. Check the website throughout the week for blog posts, and follow me on twitter and facebook for daily art inspirations!

See you,

~Pamela

How to Be a Better Artist and Changes with Artist Rage March 2015

I’ve had a lot of changes in my life over the past few months and its made me rethink my goals and rearrange my schedule. I LOVE being apart of the YouTube community. I don’t only make videos for YouTube. I also watch and interact with other YouTubers. It’s a great place to be entertained, to learn, and to make friends. With that said, I know that I want to continue creating content for YouTube, it’s just that lately, it’s been more difficult.. and with my life changes I KNEW it’d be difficult.

My biggest challenge has been creating my own artwork while also doing the “extra” artwork for YouTube content. I’ve decided I’m going to merge the two. This means I’ll be making videos of what I want to do and what I create instead of user requested videos. I’m going to call this a “trail period” and set a goal for 3 months. For 3 months I’ll be doing videos this way. If you guys still want me to make “How to Draw” and “How to Paint” videos, don’t be afraid during this time to tell me what you want to see!

I’m not sure how this is going to turn out… but 3 months isn’t terribly long. Lets see how this goes šŸ™‚

I thought my shift in video direction was also a good time to talk about how to be a better artist. Towards the end of the video I talk about this and break my advice down to beginners, intermediate, and advanced artists. Watch and find out what you can do!

See you next Sunday with a new video!

How to Draw Flappy Bird in Pencil

fbpromo

Happy Sunday! So, it looks like I’m uploading on Sunday’s now. I get home too late on Fridays to upload videos. Ahem, but that’s ok. I’m still creating new content weekly, just on a new upload day. With that said, don’t forget to follow me on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/artistrageĀ or on Facebook:Ā https://www.facebook.com/ArtistRageĀ because I update daily on those. I DO have a tumblr and google+ page, but those are usually only updated on the days I upload. That may change in the near future, but not at this moment. :/

Once you connect with me on these social sites, you can share your drawings, paintings, and DIY creations with me and others in the Artist Rage community. You can use #ARartshow to tag and show off what you’ve done! Make sure to see what others are doing and inspire them to continue creating. Everyone here is of all skill levels and ages so lets be positive, help, and encourage each other to not stop making art! Art is an amazing outlet.

This week’s art video is another beginner drawing series and may be target more for kids, beginners, someone looking to make a Flappy Bird wall hanging for a bedroom / office space, or anyone who loves Flappy Bird.

If you want to see more intermediate or advance tutorials, make sure to give a shout out in the comments and tell me what YOU want to see me draw or what YOU want to learn to draw, paint or create!

If you don’t want to waste your time drawing the grid to do today’s tutorial, you can print out this grid I made, place it under your paper, and trace it. Number the grid so you know where each square should go to draw Flappy Bird.

DOWNLOAD THE PRINTABLE GRID GUIDE FOR FLAPPY BIRD HERE:Ā http://artistrage.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/flappybird_grid.jpg

Have fun and see you next week with a new art-like video!
