How to Draw 3 Types of Comic Character Hands

Hey there!

This week I’m showing you 3 different ways you can draw hands for your comic, anime, or manga characters. I know when I first starting drawing, hands were sometimes a challenge. I would try to draw all of my characters sticking their hands in pockets or behind their back. Over the years, I’ve learned hands really aren’t so difficult. If you take away a lot of the detail and just focus on the main form of the hand, it is actually quite simple. In the video, I show you how to draw a hand with all of the fingers visible, a hand from the side view, and a hand reaching up.

I hope this will help you get an idea on how to simplify hands when drawing your characters. Note, this isn’t the most detailed of tutorials, but it should give you a good idea on other ways to draw hands :-).

Let me know what you would like to see next week,
