Happy June Everyone!
Summer is finally here and what better way to spend it than to take our drawing and painting supplies from indoors into the great outdoors? I spent the first weekend of June painting outdoors in the most lovely weather with a dear friend. It was fun, it was relaxing, it was beautiful. We first went to the craft store, picked up two small table easels, and two canvases. After our trip, we pulled out all of the brushes and paint supplies we needed and took it all outside. For the next two hours we painted our version of Van Gogh’s “Starry Night.”
You don’t always need to do something original to enjoy painting, drawing, or crafting. Sometimes you just need to create something and enjoy making it with a friend. That’s what we did that weekend, and we have plans to continue making art together outdoors all June!
Some of you may not have someone nearby who will make art with you.. and that’s ok! I’m here and we can draw or paint together every Friday. But do me a favor.. go outside and enjoy the outdoors. Take your drawing, or painting, or whatever it is you do (digital art, perhaps?) and make art outdoors! Just don’t forget the sunscreen 🙂
