I’ve been hibernating. Or more like working too much. Either way, it means I haven’t been drawing enough!!
But there’s good news! I’ve made a bunch of new videos that I’ll be releasing every week… and my first video shares details on the giveaway I’m having. Go ahead and watch the video below — then enter for your chance to win. 🙂
Sooo, what have I been up to? Really? Working. A lot. Then passing out from exhaustion every night for 6 months. Wish I had a more fun answer.. haha, but the truth is now out there!
Very happy to be back, and make sure to let me know what you want me to draw or paint in the coming weeks!
Hey there! I made a vlog to let you know I’m still around. Expect a vlog at least once a month 😉
Nothing terribly artsy about this particular vlog, but if you skip to the end, you can see the painting I’m working on. I’ll be livestreaming on Twitch.tv/artistrage again soon. If you want to know when I’ll stream, make sure to follow me on Facebook or Twitter. I don’t have set times right now, so it’s sporadic. Eventually, I’ll have a set schedule so you’ll know exactly when to tune in, but until then, keep an eye out on the Artist Rage social media sites to see when I’m about to go live!

I’ve had a lot of changes in my life over the past few months and its made me rethink my goals and rearrange my schedule. I LOVE being apart of the YouTube community. I don’t only make videos for YouTube. I also watch and interact with other YouTubers. It’s a great place to be entertained, to learn, and to make friends. With that said, I know that I want to continue creating content for YouTube, it’s just that lately, it’s been more difficult.. and with my life changes I KNEW it’d be difficult.
My biggest challenge has been creating my own artwork while also doing the “extra” artwork for YouTube content. I’ve decided I’m going to merge the two. This means I’ll be making videos of what I want to do and what I create instead of user requested videos. I’m going to call this a “trail period” and set a goal for 3 months. For 3 months I’ll be doing videos this way. If you guys still want me to make “How to Draw” and “How to Paint” videos, don’t be afraid during this time to tell me what you want to see!
I’m not sure how this is going to turn out… but 3 months isn’t terribly long. Lets see how this goes 🙂
I thought my shift in video direction was also a good time to talk about how to be a better artist. Towards the end of the video I talk about this and break my advice down to beginners, intermediate, and advanced artists. Watch and find out what you can do!
First off, I’M VERY SORRY. I know the quality is bad for half the video. I took the footage on a phone I no longer use. I won’t be having terribly quality vlogs from this moment on. This is a little peak of the randomness in my life between working on art projects. You get to see one of the Christmas cards I’m working on for my Etsy store at the end of the video :).
FYI, try that Chinese Chicken Soup recipe. It’s a recipe my husband came up with and I’ve made ever since. It’s so simple, healthy, and delicious!! (Sometimes I add sirracha spicy sauce to it..hehe.)
